Certified Notary Signing Agent
A Notary Signing Agent is a notary who is involved primarily in the lending process, and acts as an
independent closing agent.
The professional designation of Certified Notary Signing Agent (CNSA) is achieved by passing a 3-part
examination by the National Notary Association that tests the signing agent’s knowledge of notary laws and
procedures, and loan documents.
And because the signing agent has access to the borrower's financial information, a Certified Notary Signing
Agent must also pass a background check and comply with the lending industry requirements to protect the
borrower's sensitive information.
As a Certified Notary Signing Agent I take that responsibility very seriously. I go to great lengths to protect
the borrower's information. All information is kept strictly confidential. I have the latest software and computer
equipment. All loan documents are maintained on an external hard drive, never on my computer. Files are
destroyed when the signing is completed. Any paper documents are shredded, right down to the map
directions to the borrower's home. The journal entries that I maintain are never seen by anyone else.
As a Colorado Notary Public, a Certified Notary Signing Agent, and a member in good standing of the
National Notary Association, you can be assured that your private information will never be compromised.
Thank you for the trust and confidence you place in me.
